GUM DISEASE TREATMENT

If you are worried you may have gum disease, our Dental Hygienist and Therapist will carry out a full oral health assessment taking detailed measurements to find out the extent of the problem. Only after these measurements have been taken will the Hygienist and Therapist be able to give you a detailed treatment plan of your needs and costs.

If treatment for gum disease is required, it will entail non-surgical periodontal therapy which involves root surface debridement.  This basically means deep scaling to remove tartar from below the gum margins. After treatment is completed, a review appointment will be required three months later.
